It is a single mesh (no seperate arms and hands) and so a bit of an experiment. I am fairly happy with it though in some of the animations there is some problems with the shoulders (not too noticable). I hope to fix this by doing some more of my own animations for the model in future. I have already changed a couple of the animations for the python, the pistol and the MP5 as well as a couple of new idle animations. The skeleton was resized from the standard Valve one so I had to resave all the animations. Apart from the mentioned changes all the rest of the animations are Valve's. This model was designed for use in our LAN games on high end computers with Voodoo graphics accelerators and works fine on them. I have also tested it in software mode and it works. The model idea came from a games development competition I entered and so I thought I'd try to produce a low poly model for Half-life. The name comes from the fact that it doesn't fit in with the Half-Life military style models. If I get time I hope to release a few more models (working on the second one already) and hopefully redo some more of the animations and add team colours. I noticed that the Egon gun was not being held in the first release. It was working okay until I re-exported the animation files but because I was using 3DSMAx 2.5 and Character Studio 2 it renamed all the skeleton bones which caused no problems in Model Viewer but the Egon gun in the game was obviously looking to the original named bone and so I had to text edit all the .smd files back to the original name (113 files!!!) and now it works! Sorry I didn't notice it first time round (but then neither did anyone else I showed it too). Thanks to Valve for a great game and for the SDK! If you distribute this model please include all the files in the zip.
